how is odor an issue for you?
Odor is typically only a problem while I am on Backpacking or Cycling trips. I try to travel light and have to wear my clothes more than if I am at home.
do you have any funny odor stories from your past?
My first week-long bike tour. I was able to have enough clothes for the week that I wouldn't have to do laundry along the way. After cycling an average of 65 miles each day I placed my clothes in a nice zipper top bag. Fine for the trip, but once I got home and unpacked, the smell was overwhelming! I think my sweat, dirty clothes and the summer heat caused my laundry to ferment. The cotton t-shirts were never the same again.
how did you test the shirt?
Sunday I went for a 10 mile MTB ride with 2 miles being very rugged singletrack. I sweat a lot through that section. Monday I road the stationary bike for an hour and 15 minutes once again soaking the shirt. Tuesday morning I did an hour of aerobics along with a DVD (Insanity) and had puddles on the floor half-way through. Tuesday evening I played racquetball for an hour and a half. Wednesday morning I rode the stationary bike for an hour with half of that at high intensity. The shirt was dripping when I finished.
how did the shirt perform?
I didn't notice any odor at all until Wednesday morning. Just before putting it on again, I sniffed and noticed a slight odor on the right half of the garment. The left didn't have any smell at all.
