how is odor an issue for you?
Running, riding, xcountry skiing, snowshoeing -- you name it. Outside has become my therapy, a way to maintain mentally and physically the space I need to serve others. I go through workout shirts daily and although I try to 'recycle', my lovely wife politely reminds me that I stink when I re-wear a shirt and that should I desire to be in the room with her, it is best to wear something un-funky.
how did you test the shirt?
I decided to put my shirt through 'Bethel Boot-camp'. I am a full time pastor/youth guy, and am taking classes at a seminary 4 hours away. During the education process, I am required to go to campus 2x's a year. While we are on campus, my friends and I do two a day workouts (figure our biggest cheerleaders are home taking care of the home and kiddos while we are gone, the least we can do is come back a few pounds lighter and hopefully a tad sexier!) My plan was to wear the shirt for each workout -- lifting in the morning, running on the treadmill at night, and to 'rinse' it each evening with only warm water. The smell testers were my kids -- they would tell me at the end of the week which side stunk less! Two a days commenced; we worked hard and sweated harder...
how did the shirt perform?
The shirt was used approximately 1 hour a day for 5 days. Rinsed each evening, no soap, allowed to air dry. At the end of 5 days, the shirt made the trip home and the smell on each side was markedly different. The treated side held far less odor (in my opinion, it really did not smell at all) comparatively. I would rate the treatment a success on the stink-level!
